Racks Folding Guest House in Texas [386]

The entire body of this guest house has been closed with lacquered aluminum slats. The first and second floors, fully glazed, are covered with slats.

This filter is fragmented into three levels, so that slats mounted on a fixed frame form the sill. The rotation of these blades opens the view down over the spectacular surroundings.

In the upper two racks are folded about a horizontal axis forming a visor to protect from excessive solar glare. The set of the two possible moves, slats and racks, allows any combination of protection, views and privacy.
