Deployé in a roadside hotel [473]
The south façade (south-southeast actually) of this basic hotel by the highway is protected by a large sheet of metal mesh. The mesh is formed of expanded metal panels (deployé) of very thin perforations. This protection is very suitable because thin metal strips adopt an almost horizontal position to get maximum protection from direct sunlight while allowing enough vision through thin but dense perforations. The possibility of opening some panels with its facing window gives an even greater opportunity to adapt to the demands of views and shade of the users.
